Girly Date: Tonkatsu by Ma Maison

A short post on our girly meetup few weeks ago! Every meetup with them is so fun cos we talk non-stop (and probably annoy those around us but it’s okay!!) about everything and anything under the sun!!


Wanted to go Antoinette at Mandarin Gallery but it was really hard to get a table for 6 at this timing! Tried our luck at Wild Honey but they had really bad service that pissed us off and I couldn’t be bothered wasting my time explaining.. So we ended up going to Tonkatsu just a floor below.

If you love pork, this is probably a place you should check out!! They’ve chicken/prawn choices as well but mostly pork! The different pork can get a little confusing though!

Free flow of rice, cabbage and miso soup. Quite worth! The miso soup was so nice that the girls kept asking for more haha.

Everytime we go out, I think the food must think that they’re superstar.. So many cameras whipped out to take pics of them.

Tasted pretty meh I heard.

There’s also a choice of mixed rice or plain rice!!


My Mameton Set. (Consists of Deep fried prawn, pork loin and pork fillet) I’m someone who likes to eat a little of everything so this is like the perfect set for me! So many things in 1 set. Said to be the #1 choice too! $25.90++.

Here’s how we eat our rice. I’m really not used to eating rice with chopsticks.

Food here is pretty good and quite reasonably priced for the serving, quality + location (Mandarin Gallery)! I realised that even though the item is fried, it doesn’t really taste very oily unlike some other fried food where you feel like you’re just drinking oil. Service is good and staffs are attentive and helpful as well! Plus the free flow of rice, cabbage and soup is really worth if you’re a big eater!

After dinner we headed to Coffee Club for drinks + desserts!

Poor Wendy and Nancy ordered hot latte (?) when they wanted cold ones lolol.

Okay I’ve just survived my 2nd week of working through weekends. That means I’ve worked for… 13 days straight (Didn’t work yesterday), and another 5 more to go from tomorrow onwards…… -Inserts horror face emoticon- So pardon my lack of updates!! Trying to squeeze posts every now and then. I’ll be back soon, promise!
