So I’m currently enjoying life without studies nor working. The past few days I’ve been a couch potato and watching HK dramas all day, but times like this is probably going to end soon. I’ve still not made up my mind what to choose (that’s the problem when you’ve choices) but I hope I’ll get an answer on the direction I should go soon.

Before my exams, I attended Cadbury’s Bloggers’ Party! Was really excited for the event as I LOVE CHOCOLATES and my impression of Cadbury is everything nice and fun.

We were picked up from the meeting point in the Cadbury’s Joyrider bus! I’m not sure if you’ve seen the bus before but I’ve seen it around NTU before giving free rides around the campus to students. And upon seated in the bus, we were handed chocolates!!

And I became a pirate on the bus cos there were props for us to play with!

Let the party begin!!

We had access to free flow of chocolates which you can get to bring home as well.

Marvellous Creations range comes in 3 yummy flavours: Jelly Crunchie Bits, Jelly Popping Candy Beanies and Peanut Toffee Cookie. You’ve got to try the Jelly Popping Candy! It literally pops in your mouth which reminded me of some sweet I used to eat when I was younger.

There was a blind tasting booth as well where you get blindfolded and have to guess what chocolates you were eating.

A quick review post on Kiehl’s Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream!!

This product is said to be an all-in-one treatment and has a instantly perfecting tinted formula which visibly evens out your skin tone!

The texture is really lightweight and I really really like how smooth and easily it blends on the skin, almost like a moisturiser that leaves the skin really hydrated, but at the same time helps to cover up some imperfections of the skin as well. The BB Cream gives a very dewy and silky finish which I really love!

As much as I love this product, the only problem about this is that I broke out on my chin after using it. I stopped using it for awhile before giving it a try again after my skin has stabilised to see if it was just a coincidence or what. I think it has to do with the high level of Vitamin C content in it. Vitamin C is good to brighten up the skin and heals scars, but a dermatologist told me that you shouldn’t use Vitamin C on active pimples. So just a thing to take note if you’ve blemish-prone skin!! Other than that I really love the finish of the product!

I had chance to head down to their store at Wheelock Place the other day to shop around and I picked up some clothes to try! Personally I feel that M&S is a great place to shop for corporate wear. They have other collections that are more casual that caters to the younger crowd as well.

I  really like the plain blouse! I’ve a thing for white/cream coloured stuffs lately cos they are SO easy to match.

Another top which I like!

I ended up getting this blouse along with a pair of jeans! Both from the Limited Collection. I’ve this thing for pleats!

I thought it’d look good with a bandage skirt. Something more formal looking.

And remember what I said about white/cream tops being versatile?? Here’s another look with the same top, something more fun and girly!

You hardly ever see me in Jeans cos I’m really particular about the cutting of the jeans and I super love this pair!!! The material’s really comfortable and soft and the cutting’s really nice!

Because of my small frame, I found it a little hard to shop at M&S. But if you’re of normal size, they do have a large variety of stuffs for you to choose from! Do check out their Sales section, they’ve pretty good discounts! And oh, I reckon that they only bring in a few pieces per design cos I went there twice (within 2 weeks) and the stuffs that I initially wanted were all gone by the time I went back!! So if you’re the kind who wants to consider for 2 weeks before buying something, don’t regret if you can’t find the item anymore at M&S hahaha!

To me, achieving beautiful skin is really not about slapping on multiple products on your skin. It’s that simple – Cleanse properly, moisturise and be stay happy!

THIS ITEM!!!

It’s called the Milky Foot Intense Exfoliating Foot Pad and is a patented 3D Foot Pad that helps to literally PEEL OFF the dead skin on our feet!! (Read on, it’s damn amazing)

Inside the box contains this pack which includes 2 socks-like looking things, one for each foot.

You’re supposed to cut it along the lines, put your feet  immediately in and secure the wrappings around your leg with the tape at the side.

Soak your feet in this for 60mins (the packaging says not to soak it longer than 60mins so be careful of this point!). After that, remove it and wash your feet with warm water.

And after that….. Nothing happens hahaha!!
(Okay laa, you’re supposed to wait for 3 days before the peeling process works)

So while wearing the ‘socks’, I did feel a very strange sensation in the feet. At first the feet starts to warm up for the first 45mins, then after that my feet became cold after removing and washing them with warm water. But don’t worry, nothing hurt!

The packaging says that the peeling process will only begin after 3 days of use. I was actually observing my feet throughout the process and for the first 3 days my feet still looked normal, and on the 4th day, it started peeling!

The first signs of peeling. I thought it was really amazing and I kept looking at it hahaha. Had to resist the urge to peel the skin off because I read online reviews that someone tried peeling and it didn’t turn out well, SO DON’T PEEL!

I’m so sorry I’ve to put you through horrible looking pictures of my peeling feet and disfigured looking toes.. I’ve really weird looking toes I must admit haha. But this is the first sign of peeling on the toes area!

And on the 5th day, I can see the entire thing coming off!!

Okay this looks gross. It looks almost like my feet is wrapped with some sheet of paper, but it’s actually my dead skin!! Anyway, this is how it looks on the same day in the afternoon. I came back from lunch with my dead skin hanging and kept lifting up my feet to show my brother HAHAHA! And beneath the falling pieces, I can actually see baby smooth new skin! Actually at this stage I couldn’t take it and started peeling off the pieces. The key is to make sure that it’s properly exfoliated already before peeling off so that you don’t accidentally cut into the flesh.

I was so fascinated with the fallen pieces that I kept observing it. It’s really my dead skin cos you can see all the scaly parts which are from your feet!

And here’s a half-exfoliated part of my foot. You can see that the non-exfoliated part it’s scaly and dull looking, while the exfoliated part it’s much brighter!! The dead skin on the side of the feet as well as at the top is much thinner compared to the soles, very much like when you’re removing a peeling mask.

More ‘before’ and ‘after’ pics. You can obviously see that in the ‘After’ pic, the foot is much brighter, smoother and pinkish looking!

And omgg, previously my heels were so dry and slightly cracked. After removing the dead skin it’s so much better!!

So sorry for so many pics of my feet haha but I think this product is so super amazing I can’t stop gushing about it. Initially I was still skeptical if it’d work or what if my skin keeps flaking, etc. etc. But now I take back all my concerns about it.

The main ingredients in this product that I think helps to remove the dead skin are AHAs like Mandelic Acid and Glycolic Acid to help remove the dead skin cells. I still don’t understand how come it’ll take 3 days for the peeling to take place though. And usually exfoliating products you won’t be able to see the actual skin coming off you get what I mean? This one is like woah you can really see the whole sheet of skin coming off! I’ll definitely repurchase this item again and I’m thinking of regularly exfoliating (like once in 2 months) to keep my feet smooth and soft! But remember do not use it too often cos over-exfoliation might lead to thinning of your skin! And maybe get one for my mum as well cos she has super bad cracked heels and she keeps peeling her skin only to make it worse!!
