I don’t know how many of you have heard about Jayesslee. They’re a pair of twins (Korean Australian), very pretty, very cute personalities (from their vids).. And they have the most amazing voices. I think I must be the last one who heard about them cos apparently they’re really popular on YouTube! You can read more about them on their official webpage HERE.

So, I was listening to one of their covers, and I came across this video of them performing in Singapore at City Harvest Church. They were sharing about their mum who was diagnosed with cancer when they were really young, and how they eventually came to terms with it, etc. And one thing that really amazed me was the faith their mum had for her religion. Even though she was so sick, she never blamed God. I couldn’t stop tearing when watching the video, but couldn’t make out what the tears were for. I guess it’s a mixture of feeling sad and touched over the story, the funny feeling over how someone can have such strong faith, wondering when can I have such faith, feeling guilty the past times I doubted Him… Ahh, I have no idea. But I think it’s going to take awhile for me to understand the things they’ve understood from their mum’s illness. (Everything happens for a reason and that He knows what’s best for them)

Watch the video yourself for the full story. Even if you’re not a believer, it’s a really pretty story that teaches us that no matter what happens, ultimately, it depends on how you deal with it. You can mop over it, or you can choose to pick yourself up and make the best out of it.

And The last (English) song they sang in the vid is really pretty. It’s a very beautiful song that is very encouraging. Definitely one of my favourite song on replay for now!

Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think it’s more than you can take
But you’re stronger, stronger than you know
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
