Crabtree & Evelyn Damask Rose Everyday Skincare Collection

Crabtree & Evelyn has recently launched their new Damask Rose Everyday Skincare Collection which is formulated with natural ingredients chosen for their ability to deeply moisturise and rejuvenate!

The collection consists of 4 main ingredients:

1) The French Damask Rose which is known for its skin beautifying benefits which intensely moisturises and improves texture and tone

2) The Rose of Jericho (as seen in the picture above), known for its ability to instantly revive itself after decades of desert drought, brings immediate and long lasting hydration.

3) Hollyhock, which draws moisture into the skin, helping to plump and lift the complexion.

4) Aureobasidium Pullulans which is commoly known for its useful anti-microbial properties and also helps to tighten pores and firm the skin

The range consists of products which help you to cleanse, tone and moisturise and every step has a different product to cater to different skin types and needs.

For myself, I chose the Freshening Cleansing Lotion, Purifying Toning Lotion and the Nourishing Night Cream to bring back with me.

I’ve been using the toner for 2 months now and I really like it! Unlike normal toners which are more watery, this one from Crabtree & Evelyn comes out as a gel texture but instantly transforms into a cool aqueous texture when it touches the skin, leaving the skin really hydrated and fresh.

Always love attending Crabtree & Evelyn’s events cos we’re always well-fed with pretty and yummy treats!

The event was full of beautiful blooms and we were each given a customised bouquet to bring home!

My bouquet which I requested for something sweet yet rustic looking.

The Crabtree & Evelyn Damask Rose Everyday Skincare Collection is now available at all Crabtree & Evelyn stores!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex II

Awhile back, I attended an event by Estée Lauder introducing their new Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex II! (Not so new anymore but it’s really good stuff!!)

The event was held at the beautiful Fullterton Bay Hotel.

Do you know that the skin around our eyes is the thinnest, hence any signs of ageing actually starts with our eyes. To keep them looking bright and youthful, a good eye cream is really important!

Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex II comes in 2 versions – a gel creme and a serum.

The gel creme is to be used on its own, while the serum can be layered with other eye products. Both tackles the signs of ageing with their ChronoluxCB™ Technology for a complete and precise night-time treatment which has been tested and proven to reduce lines and wrinkles, smooth, hydrate, giving a younger, radiant and more translucent glow to our eyes.

I prefer the texture of the Serum as it’s more lightweight and easily absorbed and I’ve been using it for around 5 months now! I face the computer alot looking at data for long hours and I find my eyes looking really lifeless by the end of the day. After using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum, I notice that my eye bags no longer look as dark and my eyes look brighter and look more awake!

The Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex II Serum (S$100) and Gel Creme (S$94) are available at all Estée Lauder counters! :)

The SK-II Challenge: Review & Results

It has been slightly more than 2 months since I’ve started on the SK-II Cellumination Day Surge UV and it has become a daily staple in my skincare routine!

If you remember, before I started on the product, I actually went to do a Magic Ring test which analyses your skin based on SK-II’s 5 dimensions of crystal clear skin. Just recently, I went down to have my skin tested again because I was really curious how the new product was doing for my skin.

A ‘Before’ and ‘After’ comparison with my previous results from 2 months ago before I incorporated the Cellumination Day Surge UV in my regime:

There were significant improvements in almost every dimension which is pretty impressive!

Good sun protection is really important in helping protect our skin from various problems because the sun causes premature aging which leads to loss of skin radiance, uneven texture, loss of firmness and even premature wrinkles!! And it’s proven from the above skin challenge that good sun protection can help improve our skin’s condition. Of course results are still subject to every individual’s skin condition. However, I believe that our skin will be able to repair itself better at a younger age so do start applying sun protection if you’re still not doing so!

And here’s my current skin age:

The previous results 2 months ago said that my skin age was 19 years old! The earlier you start protecting your skin from the sun, the earlier you delay the effects of skin aging before it becomes too late.

So far I find that the SK-II Cellumination Day Surge has been working really well for me! The Cellumination Day Surge is part of the Cellumination Range, which lives up to its aim of helping our skin achieve a healthy glow from within. I’m surprised to see my skin still looking dewy even from all the stress at work. This is proven by the significant increase of the ‘Radiance Enhancement’ dimension in the test above!

Additionally, I like how the product is not too heavy unlike some sunscreens – this is a really important factor when considering a sunscreen because of Singapore’s humid climate. Anything too heavy will feel uncomfortable and may end up clogging your pores.

I love how this product protects my skin against the sun!

If you’re interested in what else SK-II has to offer, do head down to their counters to get your skin tested and to get products suited to your skin needs. Till next time!
